Kirby is an 8 month old, 40ish lb Great Dane/Border Collie mix, but the breed mix is just our best guess. She is growing like a weed, and we think she will weigh about 75 lbs when full grown. Kirby is going thru her long legged, lanky, clumsy puppy stage, and she is so much fun! Kirby is friendly with everyone she meets, people and other dogs included. She is playful, smart, super sweet and cuddly. Kirby still jumps up when excited, so we are recommending no kids under the age of 6. She loves to sleep snuggled up to the resident dog at her foster home. She would love to have another dog in her new home, but she will be fine as an only dog too, as long as her people are home most of the time. Kirby is completely potty trained, and she is smart and ready to learn new things, especially for a little treat as a reward. All potential adopters must fill out an application for the animal they want to adopt, which is available on our website. Humane Tomorrow does not do adoptions outside of the DFW Metroplex.
Our adoption fees are...
Cats:
$150 for most kittens and cats
Dogs:
$250-$300 for most puppies and dogs
The adoption fee helps to cover the costs of basic preventative care including spay or neuter, vaccines (including Rabies and virals), heartworm tests and preventative for dogs, FeLV/FIV tests for cats, in addition to extra medical care the animal may need, such as heartworm treatment, dental, or surgery. Often our adoption fees do not even cover costs for basic medical care the animals need, and are certainly cheaper than if all these procedures were covered by the owner.

We do not have a shelter, so all animals in our program are placed in temporary foster homes until permanent homes can be found.
