Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Caramel!
Caramel is about 13 weeks old (November 2023). Caramel lived outdoors with his mom, who was roaming the area. Mom looks like a smooth coated border collie, pit mix and dad was the neighbors border collie mix.
He will be a wonderful addition to the right family!
Caramel, or Mel, as his friends call him, is sunshine on a leash! He is the happiest boy around! He is the Indiana Jones of the group-always ready to explore and go off on an adventure. You never know what might be out there to sniff and Caramel is the one ready to go find out!
Caramel is looking to be your trusty sidekick as he’s not one to explore alone. He’d so much rather do that with you! He is absolutely loyal and true! Because he is so devoted to his people, Caramel is looking for a home where he is not alone for long stretches at a time. He is working on crate training and is not the biggest fan because he’d rather be out exploring with his bestie or cuddling on the couch.
He will need a family committed to helping him see the crate is a nice, safe space. Caramel is a super snuggly guy. He rolls over for belly rubs and will love his people unconditionally. He is great with other dogs too!
He will be a wonderful addition to the right family!
PLEASE NOTE:
You must have a dedicated private space for potty and outdoor exploration. Puppies often need additional immunizations before they are allowed to walk in public spaces.
Unless an existing good vet record exists, we will not adopt to anyone further than 1 hour drive from listed location. We need to be in close proximity to adopters when we need to follow up on vaccinations and spay/neuter.
Pup cannot be left alone for more than "3" hours at a time. This is necessary for comfort breaks and much needed socialization for a pup this age.
If interested in adopting please fill out our no obligation online application at www.puppypawsrescue.org
Note: Our rescue requires that all adopter's current and prior animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (DHLPP & Rabies) and preventatives (heartworm and flea and tick), unless there is a medical reason not allowing it. All animals in your household should be spayed or neutered unless medically indicated that they should not be or are currently still too young.
