My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Viola is a lovely senior lady with a pretty big fan club at the shelter. Here’s what her friends had to say:

“Viola was a delight to have in the yard yesterday. She was easy to leash and in the yard she explored a bit and sniffed the good smells. When I called her, she came over and enjoyed being pet. She was very personable, made good eye contact, and I felt that she really related to me. She definitely stole my heart and I’m looking forward to spending more time with this great girl.”

“Viola is a nice, sweet, easygoing girl who I enjoy spending time with. She is always happy for human companionship and from the first time I met her,
she has been friendly and outgoing. She is energetic, playful, and lively but also has the good manners of a senior. She gets excited to go for walks and is easy to leash up and walk. Viola is extremely food motivated and I haven`t found a treat she doesn`t like!”

“Viola was Dog of the Day recently and she was wonderful in the yard, scoring an A+. She met a lot of folks including children and was friendly and welcoming. She has a lot of pep for a senior girl but is respectful and not jumpy. Viola would make a wonderful dog for any home. Family, single person home, senior person home, or college home. She’s an absolute doll who’s been overlooked through no fault of her own. Ask to meet this hidden gem today.”

Viola lived in one home her whole life prior to coming to the shelter. She reportedly did great with all people, including kiddos. She was housebroken in that home and is crate trained. Her former people described her as affectionate, independent, playful, and definitely a bit of a couch potato.

Here`s what her former foster told us:

- Viola is a calm, gentle senior girl and a total gem
- She is housebroken and transitioned easily into her foster home
- She’s a couch potato
- She enjoys leisurely walks and has been working on her polite leash manners
- She is crate trained and a very quiet houseguest
- She does well meeting new people
- Even though she’s 10 years old, she does a two-step front paw happy dance when she is excited
- She has the best snaggle tooth smile ever

“Viola is a loving, well-mannered, and still-playful soul who would love the opportunity to be a cherished member of a family. Don`t miss the chance to welcome Viola into your life- she’s a sweetheart who`s ready to share her love with you.`
