My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This big shepherd-y boy is Kane! Kane has made lots of progress meeting new human friends! He love treats and exploring his environment. With plenty of milkbones in hand, he'll be your forever friend, allowing fully-body pets. Kane would do well in a quiet home that could give him the space, time, and love he needs to blossom in his confidence. If you are wanting to meet this handsome guy, feel free to call 434-973-5959 or email at adoptions@caspca.org to set up an appointment, or come on into the shelter at 3355 Berkmar Drive! He's looking forward to meeting you!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We ask potential adopters to fill out a matchmaker form. When they are ready to adopt an animal and the form and interview process indicates a good match, we have the adopter sign an adoption contract promising that the animal will receive good physical and emotional care. Fees vary and we often have adoption specials. Fees for senior pets are sponsored. Otherwise, dogs are $100, puppies $150 and up, cats are $75, kittens are $95.
