Hi, I’m Candy, a brown and darker brown brindle Plott Hound mix who loves to shake hands and run around. I’m 2 years old, female, about 49 pounds, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. I will be spayed in early December, and I’m looking for a family who will adopt me after that.

I’m crate trained, potty trained, and walk well on a leash. I’m good with children, other dogs, and cats. I don’t like to share my food with anyone, and I get a little nervous when someone comes near my bowl. I’m working on that with my foster mom, who is very patient and kind with me.

I’m hesitant to be on the furniture but learning to cuddle on the couch with my dog friend. I don’t chew or destroy anything, and I’m very gentle with toys and people. I love making zoomies, but I’m a bit awkward when playing with other dogs. I sometimes chase cats when they run, but I don’t mean any harm. I don’t bark or growl at them. I just want to have fun.

I was rescued by For the Love of Woofers, who gave me a chance to find a loving home. I’m very grateful for them, and for my foster mom. She takes good care of me and teaches me new things. She says I’m a smart and beautiful girl who deserves a happy life.
