My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Will you be my Funny Valentine? Or my Santa Baby?

Because I Fall in Love Too Easily! My name is Chet and I'm a jazzy lovebug!

My heartstrings pluck a particular song that I'm hoping a particular family will hear!

I am a female, Labrador Retriever/Pitbull Terrier mix looking for a special family to hold onto me and never let go!

I'm still learning the chords of what it means to be a good girl: such as being comfortable in a crate and walking confidently on the leash. But, I'll figure it out with more and more practice. My foster family is teaching me so much and giving me so much love! So prepared for me to give that back to you!

I am a super excitable, mid-to-high energy dog, and I . . . sometimes forget my size around people! When my humans come home from work I transform from dog to jackrabbit and I jump all over the place and all over them!

I get along great with kids but remind your little ones that sometimes I forget just how little they are and how big I am!

I am a bit afraid of cars and loud noises, before I was rescued and brought to my foster I was living at a gas station all by myself so cars and loud sounds can be a bit too much for me sometimes.

I am curious about cats and chase them sometimes, thus I would do best in a household with no cats or cats that can hold their own against dogs. Please exercise patience if introducing me to any new housepets I don't know though.

Additional adoption info

Adoption application required.

Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..

If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.

Go meet their pets

We are a TEXAS based rescue who transport regularly to this area. Our dogs are in TEXAS and will be transported to you if you adopt from us.

Our pets are posted on our website, and most live in homes with their fosters. We live with our foster dogs to get to know them in a home setting and to let them know that life can be good away from the streets.

We work to correct poor behaviors, teach manners and observe each dogs particular quirks and personalities so we can give accurate observations of the dogs you are interested in.

We know that dogs will sometimes behave differently with different people but we can give you our impressions of our pups and situations they have been in.
