Meet BERT, a DSH brown with white tabby who is fully vetted, neutered, and microchipped.

BERT is the other half of BERT and ELLIE, a playful pair of kitten siblings. BERT is around 4 months old and this lively kitten is the life of the party. His playful nature knows no bounds. He is very interactive, chases after toys and the Turbo Ball Chaser Cat Toy and a laser light toy equals total playtime for him!

BERT loves to be close to you, he follows his sister, ELLIE and you no matter what you are doing. BERT has a special affinity for his sister, ELLIE (tuxedo #1867390) and adores frolicking and wrestling with her. BERT and ELLIE are never far apart and enjoy playtime together. They are such an adorable pair!

If you are looking for a furry friend who can infuse your life with endless energy, laughter and the pure joy of play, BERT is the one for you! To adopt one of our adorable kitty's you must come to one of the designated adoption sites, choose the animal you have your heart set on, fill out the paperwork and pay for the adoption fee, then you are on your way.
Please E-mail us about dogs as they are not kept in store and can rotate adoption locations.

****Please when you come bring either a carrier if you are adopting a cat and a leash if you are picking up a dog.****

Petsmart on Highway 92 next to the Super Target every Saturday 11 am to 4 pm, most Sundays. (Dogs)

Petco on Cobb Parkway (41) Saturdays 11-4 (Cats stay at this location 24/7)

The Cherokee Humane Society has been operating for over thirty years as a private non profit animal welfare organization.

We are proud to serve the people and animals of Cherokee County with a variety of programs including adoptions, low cost spay and neutering, low cost vaccinations, assistance with emergency medical care and humane education for people of all ages.

Through our outreach, advocacy and services, we strive to ensure that animal companionship is accessible to all.

We are not part of the Cherokee County Animal Shelter. They are a separate entity supported by your tax dollars. The Cherokee County Humane Society is private and receives no local, state or federal support. We thrive solely through our thrift store and your generous donations.
