What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Jack's owner, my mother, had an emergency healthcare need that has left her unable to care for Jack. My wife and I have been temporarily homing him, but we don't have the ability to accommodate for him in our home long-term. We are hoping we can be involved in finding him a forever home.
Jack is 9 years old, but he still gets the zoomies--he and my son will run from one end of our house to the other over and over. He'll grumble at you if he needs outside or wants your attention. He cuddles by leaning into you like you're cuddling up to watch a movie. He's protective of his food around other dogs (growls and hovers around his bowl), and has growled at my son. He is comfortable with an adult interacting with his food / bowl.
He is relatively easy to train with consistency. For example, if he has a habit (like sleeping on your bed), and you keep consistent on the new boundary, he does well accepting it.
