My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! Let me introduce you to Justin Bieber. I've fostered 100+ dogs and let me tell you that he's one of the easiest and low maintenance fosters I've had to date.

He is housebroken and crate trained. In fact, he LOVES his crate. He chooses to sleep in there at night even if the door is open.

We thought he needed a backyard but he really doesn't. He is my shadow and sleeps near me all day. He follows me around and flops down wherever I am. My personal dog (a lab mix) chooses to be outside but he chooses to be wherever I am. He ignores my 7 lb dog and she ignores him so he would do just fine in a home with cats. He’s a gentle soul.

He LOVES to go for walks. He gets so excited when he sees the leash. Bonus, he walks well on the leash!
He knows basic obedience (sit, down, come, kennel up, stay). He does not counter surf and he does not beg for food. He does not destroy stuff or toys. He’s such a good boy!

He loves to be brushed and doesn't mind water so bathing him is easy.

He loves other dogs. I would actually prefer to place him in a home with another dog because he trusts people faster if they have a dog.

He has no resource guarding issues. He shares toys, he doesn't try to eat my dogs' food. He is very food motivated and learns quickly. He loves routine and definitely learned the routine quickly here.

He sounds pretty perfect, right? He is pretty darn close to it. So what is JB’s main quirk? He is fearful fella. Once he trusts you though, it is magical. It doesn’t take him long to trust but like all new dogs that enter a new home, social pressure should never be applied. You must get them used to you at their own pace as well as their new environment. He figures it out pretty quickly though. He does tend to trust women a bit quicker than men. Possibly because a woman has always been his main caretaker. Because he can be skittish, a quieter home would be best for him. Therefore, no small kids. If there are kids in the home, older teenagers would be best.
He is an extremely sweet and loving dog. If you have an Instagram account, you can look up catherine_fosterdogs and look at the Highlight entitled “Justin” for additional videos and pictures of him.
