My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE COMPLETE OUR ADOPTION APPLICATION AT WWW.LOVEBUGSRESCUE.ORG IF YOU'D LIKE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR ADOPTION:

Buddy is a 4 lb, 13 year old purebred Toy Poodle who is a distinguished gentleman. He is the ultimate purse pooch and loves going wherever his owner is. Buddy is well mannered around the home and is both dog and cat friendly. His owner sadly went into memory care and could no longer care for him. He had a dental back in 2020, and his remaining teeth were extracted. It doesn't stop him from eating and loving his food though. Buddy has a grade 3 out of 6 heart murmur which will need to be monitored. At the moment he is not symptomatic of heart disease. He will also require upkeep and grooming of his handsome coat, which grows in quite thick. He is easy to handle and very low maintenance around the home. He would prefer to be with his owner and isn't a dog that enjoys being alone for long periods of time. His former owner dropped him, so his back does have some compression and dislocation, however he gets around just fine. He will just need to be handled delicately to prevent further injury. His bloodwork was good, however his kidneys will need to be protected by eating a fresh food diet and possibly some supplements. He should gain about 1 lb to be at a healthy weight.

Buddy's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, vaccines up to date, deworming, flea treatment, recent bloodwork and xrays. Apply at www.lovebugsrescue.org
