Greetings, future companion seekers! I'm Silver, a regal Catahoula Hound Dog born in 2022, and I'm on the lookout for a special forever home that understands my unique charm.

Let's get one thing straight—I'm a bit of an independent spirit. As a dominant character, I thrive as the sole fur royalty in the house. While I might not be a fan of leashes, give me some room to roam in a secure area, and you'll see me in all my majestic glory.

I take my role as a protector seriously, making me an excellent guard dog. If you're looking for a loyal companion to keep watch over your home, I'm your guy! However, it's important to note that my protective instincts mean I'm not the best fit for households with children, cats, or other dogs.

On the bright side, I've mastered the art of doggie door training, proving that I'm not just a pretty face—I'm a smart one too! While I may be set in my ways, I'm open to learning new tricks and refining my manners through obedience training. With the right guidance, I'm confident I can become the well-behaved canine companion you've been dreaming of.

If you're seeking a devoted guardian and are ready to invest time in my training and well-being, then I'm eager to meet you! Let's embark on this journey together, shaping me into the perfect four-legged family member. Ready to make Silver a part of your story? Come meet me today! 🐾🌟

More about this rescue

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing dogs from various Los Angeles shelters the day they are to be euthanized. Our goal is to help provide animals with a second chance to a happy life and to help reduce pet overpopulation through spay and neuter programs. Once rescued, we place our dogs into loving foster homes while they await adoption. We do not keep dogs in kennels. Placing the dogs in foster homes is the first step to rehabilitation, as it allows us to thoroughly evaluate a dog's demeanor and needs enabling us to make the perfect match of dog and permanent owner. We attribute our high rate of successful placement to our foster program. At Ace of Hearts, we do not discriminate against any breed, including those in the bully breed family. Additionally, Ace of Hearts is dedicated to educating the public on how to be responsible pet owners and on the importance of spaying and neutering. We believe the real solution to pet overpopulation is through spaying and neutering pets.
