Hello, future forever family! I'm Leafy, a full-bred Catahoula Hound born in 2019, and I come with a heart full of sweetness, and a gentle Spirit!

If you're seeking a canine companion with a perfect blend of energy and gentleness, then look no further. I'm a high-energy girl who loves nothing more than basking in affection. While I'm great with other dogs and enjoy their company, I do have a bit of a loner side—I appreciate my solo moments too.

One of my standout qualities is my role as a lookout dog. I take my responsibilities seriously, making sure your home is safe and sound. Don't worry, though—I'm as non-aggressive as they come, always ready for a good belly rub or play session.

Water is my happy place! Whether it's a splash in a kiddie pool or a dip in a nearby pond, count me in. And let's talk about kids—I adore them! I'm a gentle soul, making me an ideal companion for families with little ones.

I've aced the doggie door training, making life easy for both of us. While I might have a natural hunting instinct that might not make me the best match for cats, I'm confident that with a loving family and some solo time, I could be the perfect addition to your home.

Ready to make Leafy a cherished member of your family? Come meet me today! 🐾🌟

More about this rescue

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing dogs from various Los Angeles shelters the day they are to be euthanized. Our goal is to help provide animals with a second chance to a happy life and to help reduce pet overpopulation through spay and neuter programs. Once rescued, we place our dogs into loving foster homes while they await adoption. We do not keep dogs in kennels. Placing the dogs in foster homes is the first step to rehabilitation, as it allows us to thoroughly evaluate a dog's demeanor and needs enabling us to make the perfect match of dog and permanent owner. We attribute our high rate of successful placement to our foster program. At Ace of Hearts, we do not discriminate against any breed, including those in the bully breed family. Additionally, Ace of Hearts is dedicated to educating the public on how to be responsible pet owners and on the importance of spaying and neutering. We believe the real solution to pet overpopulation is through spaying and neutering pets.
