Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sebastian is an 11-month-old Sable-Headed White Rough Collie who is part dog, part grizzly cub! He is a very sweet boy who gets along well with other dogs, but he doesn’t always know his own size. He gets very excited when first seeing you and can literally launch himself at you in excitement, almost knocking you over with his gangly bulk. As part of his play, he can nip a bit, too, but he is not at all a biter.
Sebastian arrived to us from very humble beginnings, living with a human who did not understand how to give him the guidance that he needed as a puppy. Until now, he had never received any direction in life. All of that has changed for Sebastian, and he’s been working hard on the training that he not only needs but has desperately been craving.
Sebastian gets along well with other dogs and is great with kids, too! However, he gets just a little too excited when he sees cats, so we think that he will do best in a forever home with canine and human companions only. Sebastian walks well on a leash, but as an excited youngster, he will still need some training to work on his focus, and to learn additional commands. He’s incredibly smart and willing to please, which is important to note because not all dogs are as willing to learn as he is. We know that with a loving person/family who has the skills or means to continue coaching him, he’ll be a proper Collie in no time!
Sebastian is a fantastic dog, and we know that he will thrive in an active household with humans who can handle his largeness and at least one other dog sibling to play with! If he sounds like the perfect giant goofball for you, apply to adopt him today!
Sebastion is being fostered in PA.
If you are interested in this dog; and wish additional information, you MUST submit an application on our website. Once we receive your application, an interviewer will call you and try to answer any additional questions you may have.
In order to continue our rescue efforts and help more dogs, we require an adoption donation ranging from $75 - $500, depending on the age, breed and the expenses incurred on the individual dog.
Our application can be found at http://www.tristatecollierescue.org/ under the adopt tab. Thank you
