My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Walter was rescued from a high-kill shelter earlier last year. After being rescued, he lived at our partner boarding house with other dogs in Korea before flying to Canada to find his forever home. He is currently with a foster family in Halton Hills, ON.

Walter is shy and reserved when meeting strangers, and takes time to warm up as he gets to know you. As expected, he was tentative with his foster family for the first few days but has since opened up and sought attention on his terms. Walter has a very sweet and affectionate personality towards the humans he trusts and loves to snuggle. Generally, he warms up to women faster than men. However, given time and patience he has become acquainted with both the current and former male residents of his foster home.

Walter does great with other dogs of all sizes and personalities. He currently shares his foster home happily with 2 FKD alum Jindos (who are med-large sized) and a dachshund, all of whom he gets along with well. In fact, Walter finds his confidence and is the best version of himself when he is in the company of other dogs. He has no experience with cats.

The perfect home for this lovable boy would be one where the owners have prior experience with dogs and reside in a peaceful locality (since he can get easily frightened by loud noises and unfamiliar faces during the initial settling period). It would be ideal if the adopters work from home or are retired. Additionally, it is essential that Walter has at least one furry companion to mirror and share his life with. A home with another resident dog is a requirement for his adoption.
