This darling pair of bonded female guinea girls are off of their 75 day pregnancy watch and now available for adoption! We added an extra week to be absolutely certain they are NOT pregnant since some of the female transport piggies were purposely bred, and later gave birth at their respective rescues.
These girls are part of the infamous Humane Society transport which occurred on August 7th. They were among the 323 small animals given to the reptile breeder and feeding family, but they were thankfully returned and admitted into Home Sweet Hammy Home on September 14th.

To qualify to adopt must be willing to continue the excellent care these girls have received while in foster care. Must be adopted together. Adopter must be committed to them for the rest of their lives, they have been through too much to be shuffled around. Don't know much about keeping guinea pigs as pets? Each adoption situation is different and COVID has mixed it up quite a bit. We ask that you contact us regarding adoption of any of our companion pets and work with us through the adoption process. Children under age 18 are only permitted to adopt with a parent or guardian. Please note adoption fees vary depending on specific rescue and situation.

There was a need in our community for a small animal rescue as well as care education for these amazing, often overlooked pets, so Home Sweet Hammy Home was established. Our goal is to teach updated care to anyone interested, take in as many as we have room and supplies for and create suitable habitats that our rescues can thrive in. We will then make these available to adopters if they don't have a proper one of their own.
