My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone, my name is Ares and I am the most handsome, black-and-white, neutered male cat. This is my best friend Athena and she is a beautiful, spayed female, tabby cat. We have never been apart. We do absolutely everything together and we hope to find a home where we get to stay best friends for life. Besides, cats are always better in pairs. I am super playful. I love interactive toys that move and have lights. I have crazy fun with them and I will entertain you with my silly antics. Athena is very confident. She uses vertical scratching posts while I use horizontal ones. Athena prefers to be a lapcat, soaking up the warmth and cuddles. We are both friendly, affectionate, playful and litter box trained. Apply today and prepare to bring home two bundles of love to make your family complete for the holidays. Adopt a pair: $115. Fee includes testing, deworming, vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip and 30 days of free pet insurance.

Adoption and Foster Care Application
Complete this form and a volunteer will contact you to answer questions and to schedule a meet-n-greet.

NOTE ABOUT BREED LABELING: Visual breed identification of cats is unreliable and usually inaccurate. So, for most of our adoptable cats, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each cat or kitten as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our cats based on personality, not by breed label.

Adoption Process: Complete the application at www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
