My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet and spicy grandma kitty alert!

Could your life use more warm cuddles and lively moments? Have you found yourself wishing for a feline companion who's equal parts opinionated and affectionate? Then look no further than Aspen!

Before Community Cat welcomed her into rescue, Aspen had been the longest cat at animal control. She was very stressed and severely matted. She's now regrowing her fur and settling in to life with her foster family.

Aspen is both an affectionate lap cat and a world class swatter! She'll lounge happily in your lap, and also hit you when the mood strikes her (this doesn’t appear to be from petting overstimulation, and seems to be purely mood based).

This loving, grouchy grandma kitty is looking for a kind and tolerant home to live out her golden years. Could it be with you?

If you are interested in adopting one of our wonderful cats or kittens, you can apply on our website: https://www.commcat.org/copy-of-adopt-a-bff

Please allow several days for us to process your application. We are a small, all-volunteer group and we are doing our best to work quickly! After the application is processed we will make arrangements for you to meet the cats that interest you. All of our cats and kittens are raised in our homes and live with us until they are adopted. They live with us as part of our families so we know them very well and we can help you find your perfect cat! Cats are rarely caged (only if its medically necessary) so you can visit with them and see how they act in a home.

Our adoption fees:

Kittens (under 6 months):  $150 (or 2 for $225 )

A dults (6 months to 7 years): $75 (or 2 for $100 )

Seniors (8  years and up): $40 (or 2 for $60 )

All cats are spayed or neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, vaccinated for rabies (if age appropriate) and distemper, and microchipped.

Go meet their pets

We are completely foster home based and do not cage our cats unless medically necessary. Because we are foster home based, we require an approved application on file and will then make arrangements for you to meet that special cat or kitten!

More about this rescue

We are a cat advocacy group dedicated to ending feline overpopulation in our area. Our purpose is to help owned and unowned cats in our area by facilitating high quality, high volume, low cost spay/neuter services; helping caregivers to find resources to keep and humanely care for their cats; and providing care to cats in need, especially those who may not find help elsewhere.
