Jax came into the Bakersfield shelter very dirty and matted. He has clearly lived a life of neglect thus far, but those days are over. Jax is a 4 year old, 10 lb terrier mixed with something soft. Although he's an adult dog, he acts like a puppy still. Jax has an independent side and loves exploring in the yard, or going for long walks. He can equally be relaxed in the home and loves his blankets and crate. He does seek attention by gently mouthing your hands and jumping, which is something he needs a little redirection on. He walks well on leash and gets along great with other dogs both big and small. His coat will require regular upkeep and grooming as it grows back in, but he's easy to brush. Jax would benefit from a patient home who is up for doing a little training. Jax is going to make a great addition to a terrier loving family who is looking for a dog that enjoys attention and loves being with his people.

Jax's adoption fee is $350 and includes his neuter, registered microchip, vaccines updated, deworming and flea treatment. Apply at www.lovebugsrescue.org
