Hello there, I'm Bourbon. I have a heart as warm as the drink I'm named after. I'm a mellow fellow who enjoys the simple pleasures of life. My favorite pastime is watching the world go by from a cozy window perch. I'm friendly and gentle, but I also value my independence. I'm loyal to those who earn my trust. I've been diagnosed with FIV, but don't let that scare you. It doesn't define me. I'm still the same loving cat, full of life and ready to share it with someone special. Adopt me, and you'll have a loyal friend for life.

FIV causes a lower immune system, but FIV kitties are fully capable of living long healthy lives! And, FIV positive and negative kitties can live together with no fear of transmission! Ask us if you have questions about FIV.

Their adoption process

1.
Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

We are unable to do meet and greets without an appointment. But you can go online to see available cats as well as in-store.

2.
Submit Application

While the stores do stock paper applications, we recommend filling out our online form as this e-mails us right away.

3.
Interview

An adoption coordinator will reach out within 3 business days to you to discuss your application and answer any questions.

4.
Meet the Pet

Our adoption coordinater will schedule a meet & greet once the application is approved. We do not accept walk-ins except at events.

5.
Sign Adoption Contract

If, at the meet and greet, you decide the cat is a match, you will be able to sign paperwork then and there to adopt the animal.

6.
Pay Fee

Our adoption fees are $175 per animal. We accept cash and credit card. There is a $8.31 processing fee for credit cards ($183.31)

7.
Take the Pet Home

That's it! You will need to leave PetSmart with the cat in a carrier per their policies but you can take them home and get them acclimated!

Additional adoption info

When you've signed the paperwork, we will send you home with a coupon booklet that includes many PetSmart coupons including $5 a hard carrier if you need to purchase one as well as a free bag of food to go home with.
