Forget-Me-Nots are small, sometimes missed, flowers that symbolize true love, loyalty, and remembrance. At the Maryland SPCA, we classify a pet as a Forget-Me-Not to highlight an animal that may have some extra considerations for potential adopters to be aware of. Even though this pet may need a little extra TLC in order to fully bloom, we know they are still a strong candidate for adoption and they're sure to bring true love and loyalty into their new family. We hope you'll remember these beautiful creatures when you consider adopting.
Meet Tucker, a lovable canine on the quest for his forever home! This spirited fellow was discovered as a stray and has found refuge at the MDSPCA. While his past remains a mystery, the shelter has gathered valuable insights to share. Tucker is a sizable and robust dog with a heart full of affection for people. His exuberance and energy make him a perfect companion for older children. Due to his strength and spirited nature, he must go home without smaller children.
For the optimal environment, Tucker requires a loving family willing to embrace him as the sole canine resident. Though he radiates warmth towards humans, interactions with other dogs can trigger excitement leading to potential issues. Tucker thrives when surrounded by people, making him an ideal companion for those seeking an affectionate and loyal four-legged friend. Could your home be the one Tucker has been searching for? If you're ready to provide a forever home filled with love, laughter, and companionship, Tucker is eager to become a cherished part of your family. Don't miss the opportunity to make a difference in Tucker's life-adopt him today!

More about this shelter
The Maryland SPCA connects wonderful pets to loving owners. We are not affiliated with any national animal organization, and we do not receive any government or United Way funding. Our mission is to prevent cruelty and neglect of animals through fostering the humane relationship between animals and people. We operate primarily in the Greater Baltimore Metropolitan area.
To make sure that our dogs and cats do not contribute to the pet overpopulation problem, every one is spayed or neutered before going into a new home. The cost is included in the adoption fee, as are the costs of shots and other necessary care. In addition, a free Positive Pooch class is available to our dog adopters.
There is no set time limit for how long an animal can remain in our adoption program. As long as an animal maintains general good health and a sound temperament, we keep him or her until adopted. We pride ourselves on providing premium care to the animals in a clean, pleasant environment. Our adoption staff works diligently to pair up adopters with the best animal match for their homes and lifestyles.
We transport animals from other shelters to our adoption center to help more animals get adopted. We also help pet owners find new homes for their pets so their animals don’t need to enter shelter care.
