Meet Bungee
Age: 2 years
Color: Tabby
Special Feature: Tripod (three legs, zero limitations)
Bungee is a confident, social, and incredibly athletic guy who proves every day that having three legs doesn’t slow him down one bit. He originally came to us with a badly broken leg, recovered in a foster home, and has since fully embraced life at full throttle. Broken leg? Ancient history.
This is a bold, outdoorsy cat through and through. Historically, Bungee has been found outside multiple times, and all signs point to him having lived an outdoor life before coming to us. Despite being a tripod, he climbs, jumps, and moves with impressive speed and agility. He cannot be confined to a small space and will loudly protest if restricted—especially overnight. Bedroom confinement is a hard no for Bungee.
In foster care, he showed curiosity and confidence around other animals. He met an 85-lb dog and, after a hiss or two, was comfortable sharing space. He also met a calm female cat through a gate; there were some hisses and growls, but he ultimately disengaged and walked away.
Bungee is very food-motivated and vocal—he will happily narrate your cooking, stalk you while you eat, and let you know when he feels left out. He uses the litter box well but has marked indoors, reinforcing what we already know: this cat requires outdoor access. An indoor-outdoor home or a barn/working-cat style placement would be ideal, where he can burn energy, explore, and live on his own terms.
If you’re looking for a fearless, athletic, talkative cat who needs an outdoor lifestyle to thrive, Bungee might be your guy. This tripod legend is ready for a home that understands him—and gives him room to roam.
