This big guy is quickly becoming a favorite of the shelter. When he first arrived at the shelter he was skin and bones and covered in fleas. After getting all cleaned up and starting to put some weight on this guys personality is starting to shine through. He is very friendly and very sweet, he loves to run and play ball. He enjoys going for walks and in general just likes to hang out.

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

We ask that prior to arrival at the shelter you please either call or email for further details and to get an application for the pet.

2.
Meet the Pet

When you appointment time has been set, we will have you come and meet your pet.

3.
Take the Pet Home

If all goes well the pet can go home with you the same day.

Additional adoption info

Cats $150.00

All cat adoption fees include leukemia testing, spaying or neutering, entire series of vaccines, de-wormer & flea treatment while at the shelter, microchipping, free vet check within 14 days of adoption at any local Columbia County Veterinarian, a complimentary adoption take-home packet and a carrier.

Puppies (under 6 months of age)................................$350.00

Dogs (over 7 months of age).......................................$250.00

All dog adoption fees include , spaying or neutering, current on vaccines, de-wormer & flea treatment while at the shelter, microchipping, free vet check within 14 days of adoption at participating local Columbia County Veterinarian, complimentary take-home adoption packet and a leash and collar.

All adoptions must be reviewed prior to approval. In order to ensure that every dog and cat goes to the appropriate home, Columbia Humane Society reserves the right to approve or deny any adoption application for any reason they see fit. A home check may be performed in order to determine suitability. Columbia Humane Society's kennels are not open to the public, all applications must be filled out prior to meeting with a pet.
