My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Casanova!

Casanova was found as a stray in Haywood County and was never reclaimed by his previous owners. While we wish he could be reunited with his previous family, we know that there is likely a fantastic family out there who would love give him a home for the holidays!

Casanova adores people, but doesn't know how to express that sometimes due to being a anxious pup. You can tell that he would LOVE to run up to everyone he meets and beg for pets, but he just seems to have been mistreated in the past so he holds back or cowers down. Trust is important for Casanova, and once he knows that you aren't going to hurt him... he's all over you and ready to be good friends! He loves to lean up on your legs to receive ear scratches, and is like a little shadow the way he follows people around. Casanova is a gentle guy with pretty good manners and an ability to melt anyone's heart! The shelter is a scary environment for any dog, and we think that this guy will really shine as a dog once he gets out of here. There's just so many people, noises and dogs barking all the time that it makes it hard for him to feel safe. He is a wonderful dog who would do great in a home with other dogs, cat and kids if someone will just give him a chance!

Casanova is 10 months old and 50 pounds at this time. He has been treated for internal external parasites, has been vaccinated and is heartworm NEGATIVE!
