My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please meet Gronk!

Gronk came in as a stray out of Haywood County. We believe he definitely belonged to someone at some point due to a bit of scarring on his face which appears to be from sliding under a wire fence or something of that nature. He is an incredibly sweet dog, and we can't believe someone isn't missing him! Either way, he is ready for a new home to save him from the loud/busy shelter.

Gronk is an all around friendly pup who appears desperate to please! He loves everyone he meets, and would make a fantastic family dog. He is a patient pup who waits eagerly for you to notice him before he wiggles his way into your heart with his sweet disposition. We've noticed that he really loves treats, and would likely be easy to train because of this. Gronk can be excitable at times, but for the most part he's just a couch potato type of dog. While he is eager to learn, he is not great on a leash and will need a family that is willing to work with him on that to make him a little easier to handle on expeditions. He is calm and gentle, so would make a great match for younger or older kids who need a forever pal! As far as other dogs go, he would love to go to a home with other dogs he can play with or snuggle up to if a human isn't available.

Gronk is 47 pounds and about a year old. He has been vaccinated, treated for internal/external parasites and has tested NEGATIVE for heartworm disease.
