My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Luna, a vibrant 1-year-old Retriever Labrador/Terrier mix with a striking black and brown coat. Luna is an energetic and affectionate companion who thrives on interaction with people.

Luna's enthusiasm for life is infectious, and she is sure to bring joy and liveliness to any home. However, it's important to note that Luna tends to struggle with resource guarding but rest assured, you will receive information on how to manage this behavior once you get home. You will also receive advice and support from our shelter staff! Understanding this aspect of her behavior is crucial, and a family willing to work patiently with Luna to address and manage this behavior will be essential.

If you have the energy to match Luna's zest for life and are committed to helping her overcome her resource-guarding tendencies, you may find in Luna a loyal and loving friend. Consider giving Luna the chance to be a part of a caring and dedicated family, where she can continue to flourish and share her exuberance for life.

Stop in and meet my cute self in person during our adoption hours. For more information, email info@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you.

I hope to meet you soon!

Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (7 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.
