Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello there, my name is Bessie... like a cow, get it? I'm 8 years old, and I've got cute little black and white markings, but I haven't tried mooing yet!
My mom brought me to Safe Place in April because she needed to move into assisted living and couldn't keep me. That made me really sad, so I've been very shy even around the nice people at Safe Place. But, over the past few months with my foster Dad I've really been coming out of my shell and being brave- I love following him around the house!
I would love a new home where I can be comfortable, with lots of nice hiding spots when I get overwhelmed. It might take me a long time to overcome my shyness, but we shy kitties need loving homes too! I'm particularly fond of sitting in my foster Dad's lap to wait for ear scratches! Please call my friends at Safe Place to set up a meeting with me, and I'll show you how cute I am!

Please check out our available pets and contact us to let us know which one(s) interest you. We'll arrange a site visit to your home and a meet-and-greet with your prospective pet once we have had a phone chat to determine if our rescue pet is a good fit for you and you for him/her. If you and the pet decide it's true love, we'll have you fill out an adoption contract and ask for an adoption donation (rather than a fee) of $100 per cat and $200 per dog. A certificate of adoption is mailed to you once the process is complete.
