My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi Friends!
My name is Sol, which in Spanish means "sun". I think that's pretty accurate, as I do have a pretty sun-ny disposition!

I'm a 5 year old shepherd mix who LOVES being with people, running, playing ball, chewing bones, and just doing the normal fun stuff. I’m actually fully professionally trained too! It will be required for you to keep up with my training skills but I find it fun, it gives me great mental exercise, and best of all, free for my entire life! I also really need a fenced in yard or an active family. You know, I have to get all my energy out so we can snuggle up and relax!

I like other dogs and kids too, but I am working on not jumping up. I get really excited when I meet new people, so no small kids for me please! I do have the potty training all worked out, so I’m a perfect gentleman in the house and don’t leave sneaky messes behind.

If you think I could be the Sol-mate you’re looking for, please apply for me! I can’t wait to meet you!

Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies.

Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.

Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.

Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.
