My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Regis - Kelpie Mix - Male - 9 Months - www.twyla.org

If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit our website at www.Twyla.org

Meet Regis: This fun-sized adolescent Kelpie mix is about 9 month old and scheduled to be neutered. Regis is a fun and playful addition to his foster family. He came in as a stray with some minor injuries, possibly from being tossed from a car or something similar. But in short order, he has quickly become a member of the family. He  is extremely smart, loves to cuddle on the couch, and has learned how to fetch and retrieve from his big brother Labrador. Regis is not a hyper dog but has the typical energy level of a young pup, around 8 or 9 months old. He would love to be part of a family with another dog, similar size and age, and receive outdoor activity two or three times a day. He would probably do best in a home with older children and above, and in a home where he has company of humans and or other compatible pets throughout the day. He is kept in his crate at night and anytime we will be gone from home for more than an hour or so. Regis is very food motivated and would be extremely easy to train.

He has never shown any sign of aggression towards any of the humans and dogs he has met, and is curious but not aggressive towards cats.

Regis  is looking for a home with or without kids, but with another dog of similar playful temperament for him to play with. Someone home a lot would be a bonus.

***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application on our website (http://www.twyla.org/adopt/our-adoption-process) so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet (as listed on our website: (http://www.twyla.org/upcoming-events), as not all dogs attend all Meet and Greets***
