My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Get ready for him to show you how happy he is, as he purrs so much he drools when you pet him. Reef may have started as a boy of summer, but he will always love you.  It took him a whole to get comfortable but now Reef truly loves to be pet and loves be around you. Foster Mom Katty and her boys absolutely adore him

Reef's brother, Pier, is very bonded to him and would do best if they were adopted together. While Reef is good with respecful cat savvy children, they'd probably do best in a quiet home with older children. They both are so playful and LOVE other cats  they are curious about the big dogs, love cuddling with the small.  And they are gorgeous sweet boys.  They would make spectacular companions for any lonely cat of gentle dog

You can find our adoption process as well as a link to our application on our website:  https://sophialorangekittenrescue.com/adoption-instructions

Please pay particular attention to steps 1 & 2. We include on our website details on how to prepare for a home visit, how to get ready for a new kitten, some useful guidance for introductions and reminders about taking time everyone needs.

If you haven't had a chance, please also check out our public facebook page:
 https://www.facebook.com/SophiaLOrangeKittenRescue/

Not only will it show you more pictures of our kitties, but also should give you a good idea about who we are as an organization, as fosters, and how our followers and adopters feel about us.  We do take time to get through the adoption process, but want you to feel comfortable that this means we are trying to do what's best for everyone.

There are a lot of wonderful kitties out there just waiting to be loved by someone special. And while we are a small rescue, we would love to help you find the right one for yours.
All of our adoptable animals are cared for and assessed in foster homes (we do not have a shelter), up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered and tested for FeLV/FIV, before they are adopted. They have had de-worming medication as a standard of care and Flea/Tick/Ear Mite preventive treatment. they are of course litter trained. Medical records will be released with the adopted pet.
