My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Captain 🐾

Captain is a three-year-old, 55-pound sweetheart currently with Braveheart Bulliez Rescue who is ready to find a patient, loving home. He has been waiting in rescue for over two years now. He may be a little shy when meeting new people or experiencing new environments, but his nervousness never turns into aggression - he simply needs a little time and reassurance to feel safe.

Once Captain settles in, his gentle and loving personality really shines. He is dog friendly, cat friendly, and kid friendly, though quick movements and lots of noise from young children can make him a bit unsure at first. With calm introductions and a little patience, he relaxes and does just fine.

Captain absolutely loves other dogs and gains confidence from them, so he will need a home with a canine companion to help him feel secure and continue building his confidence.

He is crate trained and does well in his crate, but he can also be left out when you’re away without getting into trouble or destroying anything. He’s a respectful, well-mannered boy who just wants to feel safe and loved.

Captain may start out timid, but with kindness, routine, and a confident dog friend by his side, he will blossom into the loyal and devoted companion he’s meant to be.

More about this rescue

Mission

Our mission is to help all animals in need and educate pet owners about the realities of pet guardianship. We serve our community through the endorsement of spay or neuter for all companion animals, and promoting respect and responsibility for all animals on this earth to enhance the lives of pet owners and their companion animals.

Overview

Braveheart Bulliez Rescue is a 501(c)3 organization headed by Carolyn O’Brien and a network of experienced and dedicated animal rescue volunteers. We work with local shelters to:
-- identify animals in need of immediate rescue
-- provide vaccination and spaying/neutering (as necessary)
-- relocate the animals to caring foster homes for care for socialization and rehabilitation
-- seek qualified adopters to give these animals, new, loving homes!

Description

We are a 501(c)3 organization completely supported by donations that are used for paying for medical, food, and transportation costs. Braveheart Bulliez Rescue actively searches for permanent homes for its rescued animals and has a specialty for abuse and neglect. We also provide assistance to individuals as well as other animal rescue groups fostering animals in need of permanent new homes.
