My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Arabella means “beautiful, loving, lovable, and graceful.” What an appropriate name for this Sable Merle-Headed White Collie girl! She is, indeed, all of those things. The combination of one blue eye and one brown eye give this dignified young lady even more beauty.

Arabella is a calm dog, especially considering that she’s not quite 2 years old yet. She has impeccable house manners—no counter surfing, no chewing, no barking, and she even sleeps quietly in her crate all night. What could be better than that? Well, Arabella is affectionate and cuddly, too! She’s allowed on the couch at her foster home, where she sleeps contentedly with her head resting on her foster mom’s lap. She truly loves being close to her humans, even more so than the resident Collie. She could very easily become a Velcro dog in her forever home!

Like many rescues, Arabella had a rough start to life. She’s cautious when meeting new people but quickly becomes your best friend. She was most likely an outside dog before she came to TSCR. Arabella does like the freedom of a fenced yard. She’s learning what toys are and is having a great time retrieving them! She runs with the grace of the wind and play bows to the resident Collie for extra enjoyment. She’s very alert and doesn’t miss a thing when she’s outside. When inside, she’ll pace until she becomes familiar with her surroundings. Arabella follows her foster mom from room to room to see what’s going on, then usually finds her way right back to the couch. She’s absolutely thriving as a house companion and is becoming more relaxed every day.

Because her demeanor is peaceful and calm, Arabella will do best in a quiet home where she isn’t left alone for long periods of time. Loud and fast-moving environments cause her to be anxious. She’s extremely gentle and just wants to be a relaxed, chill little girl. Soaking up all the love and attention that she can all day, every day, is her ultimate goal. And she deserves nothing less!

Arabella is being fostered in Ohio
