My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Aubrey is the female member of Jeb & Friends, a special group of Collies that we rescued from a really awful situation. Just like Jeb and their other friends, Aubrey’s life before being rescued was almost unimaginable, but she hasn’t ever let the tragedy of her past get her down.

Aubrey is the sweetest and gentlest old lady around! Napping is her favorite sport, and she loves to give and receive affection from her human companions. Her foster mom says that Aubrey is so happy to be in a safe place, to be fed, and to be loved. We think that she’ll be the perfect Collie companion for someone who is looking for a low-key lovebug!

When Aubrey got to us, her skin was dry, and her sparse fur was quite coarse. With a nutritious diet, supplements, and a nourishing grooming routine, her coat is already growing back in beautifully. Aubrey also has some special needs: she is hard of hearing and is still working on house-training, having never lived indoors before we rescued her. She also sometimes has trouble with her balance, especially when she’s getting up from laying down. Aubrey’s perfect forever person/family will have the patience and willingness to communicate with her in the way that she needs, continue working on her house-training, and help her with her balance as she gets stronger with time.

Our wish for Aubrey is that she can enjoy the rest of her golden years in peace and comfort with a person/family who will love, cherish, and support her. If you’ve got a special place for this senior sweetie in your heart, home, and family, please fill out an adoption application for her today.

If you are interested in this dog; and wish additional information, you MUST submit an application on our website. Once we receive your application, an interviewer will call you and try to answer any additional questions you may have.
In order to continue our rescue efforts and help more dogs, we require an adoption donation ranging from $75 - $500, depending on the age, breed and the expenses incurred on the individual dog.
Our application can be found at http://www.tristatecollierescue.org/ under the adopt tab. Thank you
