Howdy I'm Waylon and I'm ready to lasso my way right to your heart! Just like the legendary Waylon Jennings, I'm here to add a touch of country charm to your life. I'm already the king of playtime. Whether it’s chasing feather toys or pouncing on that elusive laser dot, I'm always up for a good time. You'll be able to tell that I'm really enjoying myself when I chirp. After I scoot boot and boogie the day a way, I love to snuggle up right by your side. I don't mind sharing snuggles either, whether it’s a dog or children. As far as cats, I’ve tried to snuggle up with my current partners in crime but they have yet to accept my peace offering. However, that darn litter box and I have finally made a deal: I accept his welcome as long as he’s big enough. I am a young one so I still need assistance with my ambitious attitude to overcome my territory. But don't worry, with the right environment and understanding, I am on my way to becoming your paw-some companion! Once you fill out an application on the adoptables tab on our website, http://pawpatroldayton.com/adoptable-dogs, a representative will conduct a reference check with your vet provided. A call to the potential adopter will be made when the representative is done verifying the information on the contract.

- To rescue and re-home neglected, abused, or otherwise unwanted pets into loving homes.
- To provide shelter in the form of a lean-to or doghouse to outdoor pets in an effort to keep them dry and warm.
- To provide outdoor dogs with alternatives to chaining in order to improve their quality of life.
- To promote the importance of spaying/neutering pets and to offer this service to pets in our community.
- To provide information to the public about the negative aspects of pet tethering.
- To assist owners with necessary resources to allow them to keep their pet happy, healthy, and out of the already over-crowded shelter system.
