Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ramona is 6 months old basset hound. She is doggie door trained. She sleeps where she wants. She is not crate trained. She has been around kids (ages 9 and 15), other dogs, cats, and chickens. She tolerates cats and she has a high prey drive for chickens. Right now she weighs 49 pounds. Keep in mind Bassets can weigh up to 65 pounds. She is spayed and has had all her shots.
Ramona is a very good girl but is well known for breaking out of fences. She will slip off at any given opportunity. She is very food motivated and energetic like a puppy should be.
Due to her stature, she can only climb limited stairs. She uses our ramps to get up and down from our porches and deck but she can navigate them (5 steps) when needed. She has to be lifted in and out of the car unless we take the ramps with us.
Please be sure to read up on the breed before submitting your application. Their ears, nails, and greasy coat care can often feel like a full time job.
