My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Vinni, the pup who's as kid-friendly as they come! With a heart full of love and a gentle spirit, Vinni is the perfect companion for families with children. She's a graduate of Paws & Think's Youth-Canine Program, where she learned essential manners and skills from compassionate teens in the Fishers Youth Assistance Program. She even comes with a special letter from her teen trainers, brimming with love and admiration. It's just one more reason to fall head over heels for this incredible canine companion!

Despite overcoming a recent health challenge with the removal of a mast-cell tumor, Vinni's bravery knows no bounds. Now, she's on a mission to find her forever family. Vinni is a superstar who knows commands like sit, down, off, and stay like a true champ. And when it comes to hanging out with kids, she's a natural! While Vinni has lived with dogs before, she wants to make sure any potential siblings are a perfect match, so she prefers meeting them at the shelter. Oh, and she's got a little secret-she's not the biggest fan of cats!

Ready to welcome Vinni into your home and heart? Don't wait any longer-this sweet pup is waiting to make memories with you!

More about this shelter

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.

This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
