My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Sheila. I am looking for a home that will take things at my pace. It might take me some time to warm up, as I am still coming out of my shell in new places and learning that the world isn't such a scary place after all. Once I do, I absolutely adore my people and simply can't get enough of them! My favorite things in life are walks, naps, and treats. What can I say? I'm pretty easy to please! I would consider going home with another dog, but we would have to meet first to make sure our energies match.

I am part of the CrossRoads Adoption Program. The doctors say I have medical issues and may only have a short time left. My friends at MHHS believe that while our personalities still shine, we all deserve to know the love and comfort of living in a real home. I will need more attention and care than your average dog.
We at MHHS realize a commitment like this is not for everyone. For more information about my medical issues, if you would like to make an appointment to meet me, or wish to know more about the CrossRoads Program in general, please contact khartzell@mohawkhumane.org.
