My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

COURTESY POST: Hello everyone! I’m Zero!

I’m a kind, 70-pound, approximately 1 year old male full-bred German Shepherd. I love giving hugs, showing my love and protecting my person. I get along really well with kids over 5 and other dogs. Also, I don’t like cats.

Are you looking for a dog that’s house-trained, crate-trained and potty-trained? Well, look no further! Your doggy-woggy has arrived! I have received all my shots, I’m fixed and I have no medical issues. I’m very food-motivated, full of energy and always ready to have fun. My greatest wish is to be with someone who loves me. I want to spend as much time with my person as I can!

Unfortunately, I have spent a great deal of time starved on the streets. Thus, I am quite underweight. However, I only need to gain a little more weight to feel much better. I can’t wait to meet you and spend the rest of my life with you! Thank you for considering adopting me!

We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention.

All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
