My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Teddy Bear, an amazing 4-year-old, weighing in at 68 pounds, eagerly looking for his perfect forever home! Originally given to us because of a move, Teddy Bear is a unique and special dog with his own delightful quirks.

Though he may not actively seek cuddles, Teddy Bear loves attention and pets. While he may not snuggle on the couch, he eagerly joins his fosters for love and playtime on the bed every night, enjoying about 15 minutes of bonding before going to sleep in his own space. Teddy Bear has shown he can be friends with cats, passing his test with flying colors, even though his feline friends might not be as interested in playing as he is. Teddy Bear knows all basic commands, he is fully potty trained, and he loves outdoor adventures, walks, and car rides.

But what really makes Teddy Bear special is his loving nature and sweetness. He loves company and would do great with someone willing to share adventures with him, help with his reactivity, and keep nurturing his potential. Teddy Bear isn't just a pet; he's a beloved member of the family waiting for his chance to bring joy and love into a new home. If you're ready for a furry friend full of personality and love, think about welcoming Teddy Bear into your life!

More about this shelter

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.

This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
