My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Herman!

*$100 of Herman's adoption fee has been sponsored by an anonymous donor.

Hello there, my name is Herman, but it should probably be Hermes because I wouldn't be surprised if someone adopts me SO FAST! As a cute senior chi, that weighs just 7 pounds, I can't imagine anyone would be able to pass me by. I mean, I get along with other dogs, though I'd rather spend my time with the smaller doggo friends. Oh, and I'm a real good snuggler of my humans. Even the smaller kiddos who are respectful of my size and treat me kind! What more could you want? I'm pretty good about going potty outside too! Though, I haven't met any cats. I suppose that might be a downfall for some, but I'm not too worried about it. If needed, I could be tested with them for the right people.

I recently received a much needed dental, and I have ten, count them, ten teeth left! This doesn't slow me down at mealtimes though! I've had a rough couple of weeks before making it to the safety of Albert's Dog Lounge, so I'm struggling a little with separation anxiety. However, I'm showing excellent improvement day-by-day as I get more comfortable in my new environment. When I settle into your home, it will feel like I've always been a part of your family. You will wonder how you ever came home without being greeted at the door by my little hops and dances of excitement. I wouldn't be disappointed if you are home more often than not though. I'd make a perfect lap dog for a retired person, or I could keep your feet warm while you work from home. Do you have room for a handsome toot like me in your home? I promise I'll always keep you smiling!
