My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*Trace’s adoption fee has been sponsored thanks to a generous donor*

Hi , my name is Trace! I’m a sweet Alabama girl that has overcome unimaginable challenges, including abuse and living on the streets for over a year. Despite my tough past, I have emerged as a loyal and affectionate companion.
I am the mother to the Beauty litter and Art litter. The rescue told me that I am
one of the best mothers they’ve ever had! Now that I’ve raised all my babies I’m ready to focus on being a beloved pet. With patience and love, I will blossom into a devoted friend. Once you gain my trust, be prepared for snuggles, cuddles, and a constant companion.
My foster mom says I’m really smart too . I’m a quick learner and very treat motivated. I really enjoy puzzle toys and kongs. I am completely house-trained, and I know some basic commands like "sit.” I prefer a peaceful environment, free from loud noises and young children. Ideally, I’d thrive in an adult-only home where I can be the center of attention.
If you're an active homebody who enjoys quiet evenings with a good book, TV show, or knitting project, I am the perfect companion for you! I’ll happily snuggle beside you, providing comfort and companionship.
All I ask for is love, patience, and understanding , and I’ll reward you with a lifetime of loyalty and affection. Could that be you? 💖🐶💖

All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spay/neuter before adoption unless age is a factor with a puppy younger than 6-12 months at the time of adoption. If that is the case, the spay/neuter will be covered in the adoption fee and the owner will be responsible to have the procedures completed at a Warrior Dog Rescue Veterinarian at the appropriate time.

Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.

More about this rescue

The mission of Warrior Dog Rescue is to save the dogs that are homeless, left abandoned in shelters, are surrendered by their owners, those that are being abused and neglected, and those that are left wandering. We are committed to providing them the medical care they need, helping them to overcome their past by providing them loving, educated foster homes, finding them their perfect forever home by means of a thorough adoption process, and guiding them on their journey into their new life. They all deserve a “good dog life… every single one of them.”

Warrior Dog Rescue will be a model rescue by partnering with overcrowded shelters that need to make room for more abandoned dogs. We will continue to educate others about responsible dog ownership in regards to safety, spay/neuter, nutrition, obedience, socializing, abuse, and neglect. We acknowledge that we will have a role in this industry to take the lead on providing awareness to others in the community and across the country. Every dog will know what it feels like to be loved till the end of their life.
