My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey folks, Walter here, the canine charmer ready to steal your hearts faster than a squirrel steals acorns! I came in as a shy stray, but one day, a kind volunteer bestowed upon me an extra-fluffy blanket – that's when I knew I hit the jackpot! Now, at the ripe age of seven, I'm a distinguished gentleman, and let me assure you, I can out-prance any those whippersnappers. I've got the wisdom to appreciate life's finer things: the velvety touch of blankets, the joy of human cuddles (always superior), and the secret to getting the best doggy treats—just deploy the big sad eyes, works like a charm!

Outdoorsy, toy enthusiast, and a connoisseur of behind scratches, that's me. I might be a tad dramatic, with my wait for my turn to go outside to play sounds described as a hybrid of a seal and a beagle, but hey, it's all in good fun, right? The volunteers love it, so let's roll with that narrative. I seem cool with other dogs so far and would vibe well with an active family or a laid-back active retiree. Leash strength and a hint of jumping are my quirks, but I'm an undeniable good boy. Dream scenario? A fenced yard to call my own. So, are you my people? If so, message my people, let's make this happen!

More about this shelter

Euclid Pet Pals is the volunteer organization whose members care for the animals at the Euclid Animal Shelter, in Euclid, Ohio. We raise funds by offering personal and business memberships and cage sponsorships. Other fundraisers include a Bark-B-Q in May, a Clam Jam in October, and car washes in July. The money we raise is used to pay for veterinary care and medications, necessary supplies, and spay/neuters. We are dedicated to providing a healthy, loving environment for animals waiting to be adopted.
