Here's what the humans have to say about me:
There’s something magical about watching Sierra when the zoomies hit—those moments when it’s like a little light bulb flickers in her mind, reminding her that she’s free. Free to run, free to play, free to be her wonderfully silly self. She bolts around with pure, unfiltered joy, her heart as wild and untamed as the wind. In those moments, Sierra’s happiness is contagious, a beautiful reminder of what it means to truly live in the moment.
For Sierra, a former stray from California, this freedom means so much more. It’s the freedom to never wonder where her next meal will come from, the freedom to feel safe and loved. To live without fear. As a rescue dog, she has endured uncertainty and challenges, but her spirit has never wavered. Now, she’s ready to take the next step—finding her very own forever home.
Sierra adores humans and loves attention, especially in the form of full-body scratches. Her goofy and dramatic husky antics always bring a smile to our faces, and she’s not shy about showing off her sass. Her snarky moments are all part of her charm and easily managed by someone familiar with huskies. She plays well with others, including seniors, and respects their boundaries when they’ve had enough.
Sierra’s still young and figuring things out, but her eagerness to learn shines through. She’s already mastered “sit” and “give paw” when she’s calm and focused, and with her love for treats and squeaky toys, the potential for bonding through training is endless.
Sierra has found the freedom to run, to play, and to love here at H3—now it’s time for her to experience the ultimate freedom: a family of her own. If you’re ready to welcome Sierra’s boundless joy and goofy charm into your life, she’s ready to meet you. Visit our website today and start your journey with this spirited, beautiful girl. Your adventure awaits.

More about this shelter
We are committed and wholeheartedly dedicated to providing family and emergency services involving rescuing, sheltering, fostering, vetting, adoption and transportation of
"at risk" or "death row" husky and other large dog breeds.
Our goal is to not only provide these services in larger facilities than we currently have but also to use our resources to educate and raise public awareness on the benefits of properly caring for and keeping their pets and/or adopting from shelters and not shopping from breeders.
Our mission is to share our knowledge on the pro's of spay and neuter, the cons of backyard breeding and provide sound advice and services that help the community manage their day to day with their furry family members. Together, we can greatly reduce the number of unaltered, unvaccinated animals in our communities and put a dent in the homeless population by providing access to family services as well as spay, neuter and chip id programs.
