My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

This beauty was rescued from Memphis TN animal control when he was scheduled to be euthanized.  He was in pretty rough shape and had burns of some type on the back of both his ears.  He is good with other dogs, loves people, is active.  His coat is thick and very wavy down his back and tail, hence the guessed at breed mix. We would say no cats (actually depends on the cat) and no small animals.

Jay is heartworm positive and is in the process of being treated.  Last Chance will pay for all of his medical needs during his treatment.

Please consider adopting this beautify dog.  Apply at:

More about this rescue

We are a small rescue group formed to help the animals held by Animal Control facilities in Dickson County TN. The main focus of our rescue has changed to the rescue of senior animals in animal control facilities (ones that do have a euthanasia policy) in Middle TN.
We are also dedicated to locating affordable spay/neuter options for individuals that lack the funds to have their companion animals spayed/neutered. This is the only way to stop the overwhelming number of unwanted animals entering into animal control facilities.
