My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Available in Phoenix, AZ - Bruno is a 2-year-old black tri-color Australian Shepherd (possibly a mix) and weighs approximately 70 lbs. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, on heartworm prevention, and tick & flea prevention as well.

Bruno in the past completed basic obedience training through PetsMart. He has also been working on more training with his ASF foster mom and has become proficient in "leave it", "stay", "wait", along with other basic commands. Bruno is also crate trained.

Bruno has a very playful personality and a lot of energy; he is always ready to play or accompanyyou on a walk, run, or hike. Though a very active, energetic boy this sweet boy is also very cuddly. Bruno is always welcoming to any affection from his humans whether it's pets, scratches, or belly rubs, or even curling up by your side on the couch or bed if you allow him to.

Bruno loves any toys, especially those he can chew or chase. He loves it when you throw toys for him to chase and fetch, especially tennis balls. Bruno also enjoys playing in water such as play pools & sprinklers and even occasionally jumps in his foster family's pool to lounge on the first few steps though he has not actually swum. He also loves playing with other dogs. Bruno has loved living and playing with his foster dog-brother and previously lived in a household with 3 other dogs. However, it is unknown how he does with cats or other small pets.

Bruno is always excited to meet new people and dogs. Sometimes he becomes so excited he jumps and cries loudly. This is something Bruno has been working on and improving on through training with his foster parents. Because of his over-excitement, other dogs are sometimes initially scared of Bruno and his big personality but do warm up to him. Bruno loves all people including children, but he hasn't yet learned to adjust and adapt his excitement and play style with small children; with that being said, he would probably be best in a home with no children younger than 16 years old.

If Bruno sounds perfect for your family, please fill out our application:https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application

There is an additional $20 microchip fee which inludes registration and transfer to his new family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.
