My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rain is so ugly she’s cute and she has the funniest personality!!! She came from an ER where she was going to be euthanized for dystocia, severe illness, and lack of funds by the owners. They were devastated but they chose to surrender her to save her life.
Rain is about 2 years old and she is a Micro Bully. She loves to play, she’s good with calmer dogs after proper introduction, and she adores kids! She weighs about 32 lb and has a horrible ear cropping job.
Rain can be super energetic if you want her to, or a complete couch potato. She does well on leash and harness, knows a few commands, and sits patiently in the bathtub during bath time.
If you would like to come meet this gremlin sweetheart, contact us or Summit Veterinary Hospital at (979) 315-1999! Rain is spayed and microchipped. She is also up to date on all vaccines, is heartworm negative and she's dewormed.

Our adoption process begins with you meeting Rain. Feel free to schedule a play date with her and your existing dog(s). After you fill out an application, we will verify your references and do a brief home inspection. If all goes well, we will deliver Rain to you for a small adoption fee. We then ask that you sign our adoption contract.

We will do a follow-up visit approximately two weeks to one month after the adoption to ensure that Rain is adjusting well to her new home and that she's happy and healthy.

We feel our adoption process is the best way to vet good owners and to guard against people seeking dogs for dog fighting, bait dogs, and/or dog sales. We only have our rescue dogs' best interest in mind and we do everything we can to ensure that they go to the very best home and that it's the perfect fit.

More about this rescue

We started this organization to fill a need. Animals are being euthanized in astonishing numbers across the country simply due to overcrowding of shelters. It's heartbreaking! Our main focus is to pull these animals out of these high-kill facilities and place them in loving forever homes. We have several local fosters that are willing to provide temporary TLC for these pets while they are waiting for their "forever humans" to come along! We are also passionate about community education in areas of need. The pet overpopulation problem rests solely on the shoulders of humans and that is why more focus needs to be placed on educating people and making them more aware of the issue. We want to give as many animals as possible the chance they deserve, so that is why we founded Happy Landings Animal Rescue.
