My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*** AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION, FOSTER, or FOSTER TO ADOPT ***

Meet Toast! He is currently in our P.A.C.K. Program, a 9-week intensive program for routine obedience, agility, and handling training with a prison inmate trainer and he is almost ready to show off his new skills! His new abilities include 'sit', 'wave', 'shake' and more! New adopters should realize that PACK Program graduates will require regular, ongoing reinforcement of learned behaviors in order for them to become permanent.

Toast is a sweet, loving boy who’s looking for someone patient and kind to call his own. He can be a little shy at first and may need some time to build trust—but once he does, you’ll have a loyal friend for life. When Toast first arrived at PACK, he preferred to hang back rather than greet new people right away. With time and encouragement, he’s made incredible progress and now actively seeks out attention and affection.

Toast does best with dogs his own size and enjoys their company. Small dogs (under 20 pounds) and cats aren’t his favorite, so he’ll need a kitty-free home, and any canine siblings should be at least medium-sized.

He’s done wonderfully with crate training and has made big strides on leash skills. As long as there aren’t other dogs he’s eager to play with, he walks nicely without much pulling.

One of Toast’s absolute favorite things? Car rides with his person—especially when they end with a Pup Cup! Those are his top-tier treat.

Toast has also been around kids in his previous home and did very well with them.

If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle companion who will bond deeply with his person, Toast might be your perfect match. Apply to meet him today—who could resist those adorable ears? He’ll be graduating near the end of February!
