My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What a difference a few months of good nutrition, a warm home, and lots of loving attention can make!
Tina's story is a compelling one. She showed up at the home of one of our TNR/foster volunteers in August. This 5 or 6-year-old female calico was in terrible shape: missing so much fur, dermatitis from fleas, so skinny. Her spirit was truly broken. A neighbor commented that she resembled the cat belonging to a family that had moved away two or three years prior! If that's true, Tina had been on her own for a long time.
Many thanks to Longleaf Animal Hospital where Tina was assessed, spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, tested Negative for FIV/FeLV, and treated for her skin condition/flea allergy. Before long, her fur began to grow back, she gained weight, and her purr engine revved! She was a much more content kitty!
Today, she is a true lap cat with the amusing habit of sticking out her tongue when she sleeps! She is very social, fitting in well with her foster family's various pets.
