My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Paprika and Saffron MUST be adopted together. There are NO exceptions. See Saffron here. [link to companion cat on the word "here"]

Well for heaven's sake: Whats not to like here?? Paprika and Saffron are a great brother and sister pair. We took these two in when they were very young and as a result they utterly relax in human hands. Of course being two variations on the theme of red makes them big love bugs also. They are so much fun. You can see in their photos how agreeable they are with the various poses the photographer wanted them to take. Nice, nice beautiful kittens.

As you often find in pairs of kitties the male is the big sweetie, mild, mellow one and the female is the little smarty explorer, mischievous troublemaker. At least that is the case here. Paprika is super loving, a more saturated red kitty with long hair, an utterly gorgeous boy, maybe a little more cautious than his sister. Saffron is super loving also but a little busier, her markings are more dramatic, her more saffron colored fur shorter. She is a bit more independent, curious, playful, and extroverted. Their early history isn't known but they are a very tightly bonded pair. Easy going and good natured they are comfortable with other cats and kittens. They have never met dogs but would probably love to play with them if possible.

So these two are easy. Easy to feed, easy with their litterbox, easy to pick up and carry around, easy in their welcome of loving human arms.

Paprika and Saffron would be good family cats. Any kind of family. They would likely be fine with gentle respectful children over the age of four or so. The can entertain a family, or empty nesters, or single folks who want the warmth and love and entertainment they offer. Just for fun I included a couple of their baby photo's at the end of the their post.

Some family will be so lucky.

Paprika and Saffron eat wet and dry food and are litterbox perfect.

Paprika is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, and microchipped.

He is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Paprika (and Saffron) please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com If you are unable to reach Harriet please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!

Purebreds Plus cat Rescue (purebredsplus.org), serving Northern California, the San Francisco Bay Area, Oregon, and Northern Nevada, is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of purebred cats, kittens and other exceptional felines. We are a 501 (c)3 non-profit rescue group. Most of our beautiful felines come from Northern California Animal Shelters. One of our goals is to keep purebred cats from ever ending up in a shelter. We are happy to help you if you need to rehome your purebred cat. Often, we can offer advice if your cat is having behavioral problems, and you may end up keeping the cat. We do NOT ship cats. We will place cats out of area but you must arrange to come and meet your new friend in person.
