My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Sparky, the epitome of canine cuteness with a heart as gentle as his adorable appearance. This sweet pup is a bit shy at first, but behind those big, soulful eyes lies a world of love waiting to be discovered.

Sparky is the embodiment of a gentle soul, and while he may be reserved initially, his true warmth blossoms with time and patience. He's looking for a special someone who understands the beauty of slow, gradual connections and is willing to embark on a journey of trust and companionship.

In need of a patient and loving home, Sparky is searching for someone who can offer him the reassurance and security he deserves. This little furry friend yearns to learn what it's like to be truly loved, and with the right caregiver, he's sure to bloom into the affectionate and loyal companion he's meant to be.

Imagine the joy of witnessing Sparky's transformation as he discovers the comfort of gentle pats, the delight of playful interactions, and the warmth of a loving home. If you're ready to open your heart and home to a furry friend who craves a patient and understanding companion, Sparky is the perfect match for you. Together, you can build a bond that lasts a lifetime, filled with love, trust, and countless heartwarming moments.

More about this rescue

Chewy’s Hope Rescue is a Non-Profit Organization, with 501(c)(3) status, that is concentrated on saving the lives of adoptable Texas shelter dogs, specifically Wise County Shelter dogs.

Our goal is to save death row dogs of all sizes and all breeds by placing them into loving, forever homes in the state of Texas and to work with other Rescue Organizations nationwide to accomplish our goals. We are an all-volunteer, foster home based, nonprofit dog rescue organization based in Boyd, TX. We do not have a physical shelter. Instead, we operate primarily through our foster homes, online databases and at adoption events/expos.

We also serve our community and adopters by educating and encouraging responsible pet ownership with an emphasis on the need for spaying and neutering.

Chewy’s Hope Rescue is not taking public found strays or owner surrenders at this time. We do offer assistance with networking resources. At this time we feel that our services and skills will be best applied if we prioritize the rescue of dogs on death row.
