Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Pippy
Say hello to Miss Pippy!
Pippy is an adorable Chihuahua / Miniature Pinscher (?) mix who is approximately 6 to 6.5 years old and weighs 7.2 pounds. She came to us from the Weslaco shelter in South Texas near the border of Mexico. We aren’t sure how Pippy ended up at the shelter but we can tell that she probably hasn’t had the best life up until this point. All of that is about to change for her and we can’t wait for this little lady to find her loving, forever home!
Pippy does have a warming up period so that she can make sure she feels safe and secure. She does not enjoy being picked up right now, but if you sit down and let her get to know you, she will come over to sit on your lap for affection. She will require a quiet home without small children where she can settle in and bond with her person. Pippy will be a loyal and sweet companion once she is in a home where she is loved. She just needs a little patience right now as that is not something she has been used to. We just love this sweet girl and are excited for her to find her person!
Pippy is located our rescue in Hondo, Texas. She is spayed, up to date on all shots, microchipped and her adoption fee is $325. A meet and greet will be arranged with an approved application.
If you would like to add this cutie to your family, please review our process and complete an application here - https://www.tracyspawsrescue.org/adopt
*Pippy tested positive for Chagas disease and has started her treatment with us. This is completely curable after treatment and dogs can go on to live long and happy lives. Our rescue is one of the first to do Chagas testing for all of the dogs in our care and is having measurable success in the treatment protocol. We are also focused on continued education and awareness of Chagas to help even more dogs. For more information, please review here: https://www.tracyspawsrescue.org/chagas
